RIGID STEM MOUNT INSTALLATION

1) Align holes in plate on bottom of arm with holes on inside of ring.

2) Thread screws into holes in plate and into ring. Tighten screws to secure arm to

ring. Repeat for remaining arms.

3) Passwirethroughstemandscrewstemintocouplingontopofxturebody.

NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to all stem threads as noted

 withsymbol(3)topreventaccidentalrotationofxtureduringcleaning, 

 relamping,etc.

4) Passxturewirethroughremainingstemsandscrewstemstogether.

5) Screw one short threaded pipe into top of stem.

6) OPTIONAL STEP: Pass decorative cap over end of threaded pipe.

7) Passholeincanopyoverendofthreadedpipesontopofstem.

8) Sliplockwasheroverendofthreadedpipeandscrewhexnutontoendofthreaded

 pipe.Tightenhexnuttosecurecanopytoxture.

9) TURN OFF POWER.

IMPORTANT:Beforeyoustart,NEVERattemptanyworkwithoutshuttingoffthe

 electricityuntiltheworkisdone.

 a) Gotothemainfuse,orcircuitbreaker,boxinyourhome.Placethemain

power switch in the “OFF” position.

 b) Unscrewthefuse(s),orswitch“OFF”thecircuitbreakerswitch(s),that

  controlthepowertothextureorroomthatyouareworkingon.

 c) Placethewallswitchinthe“OFF”position.Ifthexturetobereplacedhas

  aswitchorpullchain,placethoseinthe“OFF”position.

10) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap. Assemble mounting

screws into threaded holes.

11)Attachmountingstraptooutletbox.(Screwsnotprovided).Mountingstrapcanbe

 adjustedtosuitpositionofxture.

12) Groundinginstructions:(SeeIllus.AorB).

 A) Onxtureswheremountingstrapisprovidedwithaholeandtworaised

  dimples.Wrapgroundwirefromoutletboxaroundgreengroundscrew,

and thread into hole.

 B) Onxtureswhereacuppedwasherisprovided.Attachgroundwirefrom

  outletboxundercuppedwasherandgreengroundscrew,andthreadinto

mounting strap.

 Ifxtureisprovidedwithgroundwire.Connectxturegroundwiretooutletbox

 groundwirewithwireconnector(notprovided.)afterfollowingtheabovesteps.

 Neverconnectgroundwiretoblackorwhitepowersupplywires.

13) Makewireconnections(connectorsnotprovided).Referencechartbelowfor

 correctconnectionsandwireaccordingly.

14) Pushxturetoceiling,carefullypassingmountingscrewsthroughholesincanopy.

15)Securexturetoceilingwiththreadedballs.

16) Set glass down over sockets.

17) Attach socket ring to socket ring tool.

18) Lower socket ring tool with socket ring attached down through glass. Thread

 socketringontosocket.Tightensocketringtosecureglassinplace.(DONOT

over tighten.)

INSTALACIÓN DE MONTAJE RÍGIDO MADRE

1) Alineelosagujerosenlaplaca,enlaparteinferiordelbrazo,conlosagujeros

en la parte interna del anillo.

2) Rosquelostornillosdentrodelosagujerosenlaplacaydentrodelanillo.Apriete

 lostornillosandeasegurarelbrazoalanillo.Repitalaoperaciónparalos

 brazosrestantes.

3) Paseelalambredelartefactoatravésdelvástagoyatornilleelvástagoaltope

del artefacto. NOTA: El compuesto para rosca estanca se debe aplicar a todas las

 roscasdelvástagocomosenotóconelsímbolo(3)paraimpedirlarotación

 accidentaldelartefactodurantelalimpieza,instalacióndeunabombillanueva,etc.

4) Paseelalambredelartefactoatravésdelosvástagosrestantesyatornillelos

vástagos juntos.

5) Atornille el tubo roscado corto en el tope de vástago.

6) PASO OPCIONAL: Ponga la tapa decorativa encima de cada vástago.

7) Pasedelagujeroenelescudeteencimadelextremodeltuboroscadoencimade

vástago.

8) Resbale la arandela de seguridad encima del tubo roscado que sobresale de

 adentrodelcapuchón.Atornillelatuercahexagonalaltuboroscado.

9) APAGUELAALIMENTACIÓNELÉCTRICA.

IMPORTANTE: Antesdecomenzar,NUNCAtratedetrabajarsinantesdesconectar

la corriente hasta que el trabajo se termine.

 a) Vayaalacajaprincipaldefusibles,ointerruptorocajadecircuitosdesu

  casa.Coloqueelinterruptordelacorrienteprincipalenposiciónde 

apagado “OFF”.

 b) Desatornilleel(los)fusible(s),ocoloqueelinterruptorointerruptoresdel

  breakerenposicióndeapagado“OFF”,quecontrola(n)lacorrientehacia

  elartefactoohabitacióndondeestátrabajando.

 c) Coloqueelinterruptordeparedenposicióndeapagado“OFF”.Sielartefacto

  quesevaareemplazartieneuninterruptorocadenaquesejala,colóquelos

  enlaposicióndeapagado“OFF”.

10)Encontrarlosagujerosroscadoscorrectosenlaabrazaderademontaje.Instalar

los tornillos de montaje en los agujeros roscados.

11)Unirlaabrazaderademontajealacajadeconexiones.(Noseproveentornillos).

 Laabrazaderademontajepuedeajustarseparaacomodarlaposicióndelartefacto.

12) InstruccionesdeconexiónatierrasolamenteparalosEstados  

 Unidos.(VealailustracionAoB).

 A) Enlaslámparasquetieneneleje,demontajeconunagujeroydoshoyue

  losrealzados.Enrollarelalambreatierradelacajatomacorrientealrededor

  deltornilloverdeypasarloporelaquiero.

B) En las lámparas con una arandela acopada. Fijar el alambre a tierra de la

  cajatomacorrientedelajodelaarandelaacoadaytornilloverde,ypaser

  porelejedemontaje.

 Silalámparavieneconalambreatierra.Conecterelalambreatierradelalámpara

al alambre a tierra de la caja tomacorriente con un conector de alambres

 (noincluido)espuésdeseguirlospasosanteriores.Nuncaconectarelalambraa

tierra a los alambres eléctros negro o blanco.

13) Hagalesconexionesdelosalambres(noseproveenlosconnectores.)Latabla

 dereferenciadeabajoindicalasconexionescorrectasylosalambrescorrespondientes.

14) Empujeelartefactohaciaeltecho,pasandocuidadosamentelostornillosde

 montajeatravésdelosoriciosenelescudete.

15) Sujete el artefacto contra el cielorraso con las bolas roscadas.

16) Ponga el vidrio encima de casquillo.

17) Acople el anillo del casquillo a la herramienta del anillo del casquillo.

18) Baje la herramienta del anillo del casquillo con el anillo del casquillo acoplado

abajo a través del vidrio. Rosque el anillo del casquillo al casquillo. Apriete el

 anillodelcasquilloparasujetarelvidrioenellugar.(NOaprieteexcesivamente.)

5) Thread one small threaded pipe into end of each small loop.

6) Attach small loop to end of last stem.

7) Passthreadedpipeatendofsecondsmallloopthroughholeincanopy.

8) Sliplockwasheroverthreadedpipeprotrudingfrominsideofcanopyandscrew

 hexnutontothreadedpipe.

9) Attachchainlinktosmallloopatendofstemandtolooponcanopy.

9) Acopleuneslabóndecadenaallazopequeñoenelextremodelvástagoyallazo

en el escudete.
